Elementary Para/3-5 CCLC Assistant Teacher
I am a teacher's aid for kindergarten. I am also the assistant teacher for 3rd-5th grade CCLC after school program which I started in January of 2016.

Hello, my name is Heather Camuso and I have been teaching in Calhoun since 2016. I graduated from the University of Central Missouri in 2015 and am pursuing my masters in elementary mathematics.
My name is Dana Mcintyre and I am the third and fourth grade classroom teacher at Calhoun RVIII. I received my degree in Early and Elementary Education from University of Central Missouri. This is my sixth year in this district.
Elementary Para/ISS Teacher
My name is Devin Bramell and I began working for the Calhoun School District in 2012. I attended UCM and graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. I've had intensive training in therapeutic crisis intervention, and have found it useful on a daily basis.
I was born in Kansas City, Kansas and grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. After high school, I attended UCM for my Bachelor's degree in middle school education. My areas of emphasis for that degree were science and language arts. I graduated in May 2015 and received my certification to teach elementary school as well. I am currently attending UCM for my Master's in elementary education curriculum and instruction.
I enjoy working in Calhoun. I am truly blessed to come to a job every day that I love doing. Working with middle aged children is my passion, and I hope to make a positive impact for each student individually as well as our district as a whole.
I began my employment with the Calhoun School District in 2015 where I worked with the High School CCLC program. This year, I am the teacher's aid for the 5th/6th grade classroom. I'm excited to be a part of this great team!
Title 1 Director/Jr. High CCLC
Sandy Halbrook, LMFT, LPC serves as both a mental health Therapist during the school day and as the CCLC Jr. High and High School Program Director in the afterschool program. Miss Sandy is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor.
My name is Laura Shriner and I am the Title I Reading Teacher.
I graduated from UCM with my Elementary Education degree in December of 2008. I have formally taught 5th Grade, 1st/2nd Grade, 1st Grade all in the Calhoun School District.
I have lived in Clinton for more than 30 years. Mr. Shriner and I have 2 daughters and a son that are super kids (adults now). I am a lover of books and animals - along with Snoopy and the Peanuts.
I have lived in the Calhoun area most of my life. My first teaching job was at Calhoun, 36 years ago. Vickie and I have been married for thirty years and have three children. Scott Calhoun, Heather Hollinger, and Clayton Kreisel (all Calhoun graduates). I have always had an interest to provide the tools for young people to become everything they want to be in life. Being at a small school I have had the opportunity to develop lasting relationships with many of the families in the area. In today's society the physical activity of our youth seems to be at an all time low. We work hard to provide intivative ways for young people to enjoy being active. We provide many sports and activities to involve students in an active lifestyle.
I am the K-6 Library Teacher at the Calhoun Elementary School and my goal this year is to help students appreciate and explore the wonderful world of books and reading.
Began teaching Art at Calhoun R-VIII in 2016 to students in grades K-12. I enjoy helping students create, criticize and appreciate works of art. Messy hands do not scare me! The art room is a safe place for students to express themselves and learn to accept their choices.
I am a graduate of Missouri State University with a bachelors degree in Music Education. I have been teaching at Calhoun since the 2015-2016 school year. I teach K-12 Music which includes Elementary Music, 5th and 6th Grade Band, Junior High Music and High School (7-12) Band. I also teach Careers and ACT prep. I am also the Girls Volleyball coach.
I live in the Calhoun School District, and graduated from UCM.
I am certified to teach FACS, Math, Elementary 1-6, and Business Education.
ECC Special Education
I began my career at Calhoun R-VIII in August of 2016 as the Early Childhood Special Education Teacher. I had previously taught K-6 Special Education 4 years, High School Life Skills 1 year, Title 1 Reading and Math 3 years, 3rd grade 1 year and an Academic Teacher in Special Education for a GED program 4 months.
I obtained my Associate of Arts Degree in Education at State Fair Community College, Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education at Central Missouri State University, my certification for Special Education Mild to Moderate Disabilities K-12, and a Masters Degree Instructional Specialist in Special Education through Arkansas State University.
Teaching has been my passion since elementary school. My philosophy is "ALL children can learn" whatever it takes!! My goal is for each student and I to learn through experiences.
CCLC Project Director
My name is Tamara Drenon. I am a graduate of the University of Central Missouri. I received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration in December of 2007. It has been my pleasure to work for the Calhoun School District as the Project Director of the CCLC program since June of 2008.
3-5 CCLC Lead Teacher
I moved to the Clinton area in March of 2012. I started working in the CCLC program in October of 2012. I am currently the lead teacher for grades 3-5. I really enjoy working with this age group!
Food Service Director
My name is Shonda Self and I started working for Calhoun R-VIII School District in June 2008.
My first year, I was the assistant cook at the Early Childhood Center. Since then, I've been at the school kitchen, as the Food Service Director.
I love getting blamed for making the hallways smell good. It's even more rewarding to hear our students and staff come in and say how yummy their meal was for the day!!
Crossing Guard & Kitchen
My name is Carol Price, I work in the kitchen and am the morning and afternoon cross guard. I have been working at the Calhoun R-VIII School District for several years. I enjoy my job and seeing the students grow up and I am known to many of them as "Grama".
I began working at Calhoun R-VIII July of 2013 and I am responsible for the maintenance/custodial work.
